Role and Responsibilities
- Drive Financial support for the Retail Channel Operations team with Finance Planning and Analysis to drive the business in accordance with Retail strategy.
- Drive the tracking of performance metrics and proactively analyze and assess business opportunities to drive operational and financial performance
- Drive the management and balance of operating and MDF (marketing development fund) budget and spend across the teams being supported
- Foster and maintain strong business partnerships with MDF Sales Finance and Corporate finance teams to promote teamwork and organizational alignment including sharing best practices across divisions.
- Responsible for monthly forecast monthend close and variance analysis
- Prepare analysis for business reviews annual budgets and long range plans and provide insightful analysis
- Support financial reviews with vendors contracts and business planning needs across the organization
- Support monthly and quarterly business reviews with the organization being supported
- Support reporting and analysis to a variety of key business stakeholders utilizing appropriate data to effectively create actionable spending plans
- Developing and implementing financial policies and procedures to ensure effective financial controls and processes
- Identifying and mitigating financial risks including compliance regulatory and operational risk
Skills and Qualifications
- Minimum 8 years of progressive experience in financial planning and analysis with exposure to retail financials accounting and operating budget management.
- Strong Retail Marketing Agency or Consulting experience required. Previous experience in large retail/sales organizations highly preferred.
- Results oriented ability to prioritize and deliver key initiatives and build organizational capability
- Strong planning operational analytical and creative problem solving skills
- Collaborative team player with strong interpersonal skills who can communicate with and relate to people at all levels in the organization
- Ability to work independently deal with ambiguity and meet deadlines in a fast moving environment focused on growth
- Comfortable working under pressure and able to multitask and manage competing priorities
- BS/BA in Business Finance or Accounting. MBA preferred
- Must have accounting experience utilizing SAP or similar software
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite of PC software applications experience with solid Excel and PowerPoint skills
- Independent thinking selfstarter whos developed strong working partnerships in global corporations (multilingual Korean a plus)
