High school diploma or equivalent.
At least 1 year work experience in a business environment preferred.
Knowledge of mail equipment and USPS regulations helpful but not required.
Strong interpersonal communication skills required. Must maintain a professional phone demeanor. Must be able to communicate and interact effectively with multifunctional and diverse backgrounds.
Excellent organizational skills required. Requires ability to meet deadlines in an environment with changing priorities.
Ability to handle sensitive and / or confidential materials a must.
Attention to detail.
Must work well in a team environment.
Good problem solving skills necessary with an ability and understanding of when to escalate a problem to a supervisory level. Proven customer service skills required in order to create maintain and enhance customer relationships.
Job duties
Incoming Mail/packages:
o Date stamp sort and distribute US Mail and special mails (Fed Ex UPS Parcel Post etc.)
o Maintains files logs and records on all incoming mail
o Deliver special and rush packages.
o Delivers mail to each department person or preestablished drop area as required by the client.
Outgoing Mail/packages :
o Complete all mailings in timely manner.
o Sort and stamp outgoing mail.
o Process out going accountable packages
o Operate postage machine according to policy and regulations.
o Prepares for mailing Certified Registered Insured articles special mails. Maintains files logs and records.
o Daily Picks up of outgoing mail and interoffice mail from each department or preestablished drop area as required by the client.
Other:
o Maintain a clean shipping area and Van
o Communicate with supervisor or client on job or deadline issues.
o Assist in orienting new employees to the policies and procedures at the client site.
o Utilize software mail applications where applicable.
o Answer telephone in Mailroom.
o Adhere to C&W Services policies in addition to client site policies.
o Use equipment and supplies in a cost efficient manner.
o Other duties as directed by management
