To provide technical and administrative assistance to the Director and Assistant Director of Engineering. Provides assistance in all operational aspect of the Engineering Department.

Responsibilities

Assist the Director of Engineering / Assistant Director of Engineering/ Engineering Manager in the full upkeep of the preventative maintenance including the keeping of logs on work done scheduling and the assignment of projects and other related tasks.
Assist the Director of Engineering and the Assistant Director of Engineering the procurement of supplies and the issuance of purchase orders.
Review work orders and assign work by priorities.
Maintain uptodate inventories of heat light & power and repair and maintenance supplies.
Respond to guest requests.
Work with the Engineering staff on a shift basis and coordinates their activities.
Assume the full responsibility for the Engineering Department in the absence of the Director of Engineering and Assistant Director of Engineering.
Have a thorough understanding of Omnis fire alarm procedures and emergency evacuation.
Have a thorough understanding of Omnis job scenarios.

Qualifications

  • Previous building maintenance experience required. Class 3 positions are entry level. Class 2 positions require a minimum of 1 year building maintenance experience preferably in hotels. Class 1 positions require a minimum of 2 years hotel maintenance experience.
  • Experience with electrical HVAC and working knowledge of powered and handheld tools and equipment. For Class 2 and 1 positions stricter electrical and HVAC experience will be upheld.
  • Must be able to handle frequent lifting pushing pulling and carrying of objects weighing up to 50 lbs without assistance.
  • Stand or walk for extended periods of time or for an entire shift.
  • Required to perform inspections and repairs anywhere in or out of hotel property.
  • Frequent bending and/or kneeling required.
  • 100% of mobility required in all areas of hotel property and ground.
  • Must be able to climb a ladder work in high places and confined areas.
  • Lift driving required Electric saws hand tools drills grinders.
  • Candidate must have excellent time management skills the ability to work with both internal and external customers and a keen eye for detail.
  • Must be computer oriented and able to meet deadlines and adhere to company policies.
  • Must be able to work a variety of shifts including weekends and holiday.
