Job Description
- Writing and developing technical specifications
- Design parts assemblies and drawings using CAD
- Crossdepartmental collaboration in design feasibility and continuous improvement
- Mentorship and development of younger Mechanical Engineer colleagues
- Create designs according to company procedures regulations and client standards
- Review and release technical drawings and BOMs
- Calculate factors like tolerance dimensions thermal and structural analysis
- Perform First Article Inspections (FAI) at supplier facilities
- Bachelors or Masters Degree in Mechanical Engineering Aerospace Engineering or equivalent fields
- 3 years of relevant experience in sheet metal composites machined parts assemblies etc.
- Working knowledge of 3D modeling software; CATIA V5 experience preferred
- Working knowledge of PLM software; SmarTeam or TeamCenter preferred
- Able to work in fastpaced collaborative environment
- Selfmotivated attitude and the ability to use initiative to maintain project timelines
- Excellent problemsolving skills
- Excellent technical writing skills
