As a Mechanical Engineer you will play a key role in the design development and integration of advanced mechanical systems for stateoftheart passenger trains. Working within a global engineering team you will be responsible for creating efficient innovative designs and ensuring seamless integration of complex subsystems. This role requires strong technical expertise crossfunctional collaboration and a commitment to delivering highquality safe and reliable transportation solutions
Key Activities
  • Writing and developing technical specifications
  • Design parts assemblies and drawings using CAD
  • Crossdepartmental collaboration in design feasibility and continuous improvement
  • Mentorship and development of younger Mechanical Engineer colleagues
  • Create designs according to company procedures regulations and client standards
  • Review and release technical drawings and BOMs
  • Calculate factors like tolerance dimensions thermal and structural analysis
  • Perform First Article Inspections (FAI) at supplier facilities
Qualifications
  • Bachelors or Masters Degree in Mechanical Engineering Aerospace Engineering or equivalent fields
  • 3 years of relevant experience in sheet metal composites machined parts assemblies etc.
  • Working knowledge of 3D modeling software; CATIA V5 experience preferred
  • Working knowledge of PLM software; SmarTeam or TeamCenter preferred
  • Able to work in fastpaced collaborative environment
  • Selfmotivated attitude and the ability to use initiative to maintain project timelines
  • Excellent problemsolving skills
  • Excellent technical writing skills
