  • The Manager Capital Project Management & FP&A will lead the budgeting forecasting and financial analysis of all capital projects across the Company and other strategic initiatives as assigned. This position reports to the Corporate VP of Finance but also routinely works with varying levels of management at both the corporate office and the 12 domestic theme parks.

    This position will perform multiple functions to include but not be limited to:

  • Lead the monthly capital investment reporting and forecast process for the Companys $225M annual capital investment in rides attractions exhibits and repairs/maintenance.
  • Lead the development and organization of annual and multiyear capital budgeting process through engagement with key stakeholders across the Company.
  • Review Capital Authorization requests (CARs) and underlying financial support analysis to ensure projects are financially viable meet capital criteria and are approved according to company policies.
  • Collaborate with park teams to monitor project performance against budget and timelines and to report on variances to Executive Leadership.
  • Partner with Corporate leadership Park leadership and Design and Engineering leadership to improve and simplify capital reporting and forecasting process.
  • Develop a standardized pro forma model for use in CAR submissions.
  • Partner with park and Design & Engineering leadership to prioritize projects.
  • Design and facilitate the capital investment postmortem process.
  • Provide support for capital related items for quarterly and annual earnings calls and SEC filings.
  • Partner with Financial Planning & Analysis team to provide consolidated revenue and expense impacts from approved CARs.
  • Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations to Executive and Board leadership.
  • Manage special projects and other duties as assigned.
  • Ensure compliance with financial policies and accounting standards.

What it takes to succeed:

  • Must have a Bachelors degree in finance accounting business or a related field.
  • MBA or Masters degree in finance business or accounting preferred.
  • Must have a proven ability to manage multiple projects with competing deadlines in a team environment.
  • Collaborative nature with experience building strong cross functional relationships.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and strong organization skills.
  • Proactive approach to identifying risks and generation mitigation strategies.
  • Ability to distill voluminous project data into clear narratives for stakeholders.
  • Ability to leverage intermediate Excel functions and business intelligence tools to transform datasets into presentationlevel schedules.
  • Minimum of 4 years of relevant business experience (e.g. financial planning and analysis cost analysis accounting).
  • Demonstrated strong communication skills.
  • Experience with SAP preferred.
  • Intermediate proficiency in MS Excel and PowerPoint.
