Position Overview:

Reporting to the Senior Manager of Market Data Management this role requires a good understanding of the market data and information services industry and how these services are used in the asset management industry. This role is central to the operation of the team as it includes ownership of the pipeline of work into the team and is the main point of contact for users in our global offices. Excellent procurement and negotiation skills are required to manage our market data contracts as effectively as possible.

Job Description

Responsibilities Include:

Procurement

  • Procuring and renewing Market Data services required by the business in most costeffective manner for AAM.
  • Developing sourcing strategies and category plans.

Budget Cost & Contract Management

  • Identify costsaving opportunities and negotiate with data vendors to achieve favorable terms and conditions.
  • Ensure data/service usage and pricing is accurately recorded.

Vendor Management:

  • Manage relationships with market data providers ensuring service quality and adherence to contractual obligations.
  • Conduct regular vendor service reviews including use of a clear vendor scorecard methodology.

Stakeholder/Client Engagement:

  • Acting as the primary contact across the AAM business for services provided by the vendors within their remit.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand market data needs and deliver appropriate solutions.

Change Management & Delivery:

  • Identify initiatives which enhance AAMs Investment Toolkit.
  • Feed these into teams program of work to deliver.

Compliance and Regulatory Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that the acquisition and use of market data comply with all relevant regulatory requirements.
  • Work closely with the Compliance and Legal teams to address any regulatory concerns and support audits related to market data.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in business administration operations management or other directly applicable field.
  • Eight years of vendor management business operations strategic sourcing or contract management experience.
  • Experience with the vendor identification selection or negotiation process.
  • Thorough knowledge of vendor management best practices and industry trends.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills; demonstrated ability to lead difficult conversations and collaborate facilitate and achieve consensus amongst key stakeholders.
  • Ability to work effectively and cultivate strong relationships across all levels of the organization and with external parties.
  • Ability to work with teams across geographically dispersed locations. Ability to effectively manage ambiguous situations and drive towards clarification. Resultsoriented with a demonstrated ability to influence others and drive change.
  • Proven analytical and problemsolving skills with a keen attention to detail. Ability to succeed under pressure set priorities and meet deadlines in a rapidpaced environment. Selfmotivated with a positive attitude.
  • Strong business acumen and demonstrated ability to put strategic plans into operation. Proven ability to manage multiple projects and support activities within a single job function.
