Job Description

QUALIFICATIONS:

Prefer high school diploma or general education degree (GED) or such experience as deemed equivalent.

REPORTS TO:

Principal

JOB GOAL:

Supervises organizes and redirects student behavior while at recess or lunch either indoors or outdoors.

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Monitors students for safe activity while students in the cafeteria during lunch periods in serving lines while eating and during cafeteria dismissal;
  2. Reports all student injuries accidents illnesses and discipline problems to the appropriate authority immediately or as soon as reasonably possible;Assists students in securing trays food seating and dismissal;
  3. Assists cafeteria staff in cleaning up spills accidents etc;
  4. Takes all necessary and reasonable precautions to protect students equipment materials and facilities;Complies with and supports school and division regulations and policies;
  5. Performs other lunchroom supervisory duties as assigned by building administrator(s).
  6. Perform other job duties as assigned.

  1. Ability to read and comprehend instructions correspondence and memos.
  2. Ability to work with a variety of people and maintain confidentiality of information.

TECHNOLOGY SKILLS:

  1. To perform this job successfully an individual should have knowledge of Internet and district software and Microsoft office (Word Excel Publisher PowerPoint and other appropriate technology software).
  2. Knowledge of appropriate business machines and telephones.
  3. Monitor special system(s) not limited to including security and fire alarm systems.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  1. The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

  3. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. In addition some carrying pushing and/or pulling; some stooping kneeling crouching and/or crawling; and significant fine finger dexterity.

  5. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and distance vision.

  1. Performance to be evaluated in accordance with the Board policy on evaluation of support personnel.
