We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and compassionate 2nd Grade Teacher to join our team and help shape the future of our young learners.
Position Overview: The 2nd Grade Teacher will be responsible for creating and implementing engaging and effective lessons for our secondgrade students. This individual will provide a positive and supportive classroom atmosphere that promotes both academic growth and socialemotional development. The teacher will work closely with students parents and colleagues to ensure each childs success and wellbeing.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver engaging ageappropriate lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards.
- Foster a positive inclusive classroom culture that encourages curiosity respect and collaboration.
- Assess and track student progress through regular evaluations assignments and observations.
- Provide individualized support for students who need additional assistance.
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding student progress and classroom activities.
- Collaborate with fellow teachers and staff to enhance student learning and school initiatives.
- Participate in school events meetings and professional development opportunities.
- Maintain a safe and organized classroom environment that promotes learning and creativity.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Elementary Education or related field (required).
- Valid teaching certification (specific to LA preferred).
- Strong understanding of child development and effective teaching strategies.
- Excellent communication organizational and interpersonal skills.
- Experience working with young children preferably in a classroom setting.
- Passionate about working with diverse groups of students and promoting their academic social and emotional development.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Masters degree in Education (preferred).
- Experience teaching 2nd grade or similar age group.
- Knowledge of current teaching technologies and classroom management strategies.
