Job Description:
L3Harris is seeking a dedicated and skilled SeniorLevel Software Engineer to join our innovative technology team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in developing and enhancing software solutions that contribute to the strategic objectives of our organization. This position involves working collaboratively within a dynamic environment to design develop and maintain software applications that are critical to our operations and customer satisfaction.
Essential Functions:
- Design and implement new software features and frameworks delivering highquality solutions on time and within budget.
- Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to integrate new features and functionality.
- Engage with other team members in the planning of project timelines implementation of design specifications and system performance improvements.
- Conduct code reviews write unit tests and document software implementations to ensure development quality.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues in existing software applications enhancing user experience and system performance.
- Participate in Agile development processes including sprint planning standups retrospectives and demos.
- Maintain uptodate knowledge of technology standards industry trends and emerging technologies.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree and minimum 6 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree minimum of 10 years of prior related experience.
- Demonstrated software development experience within the DoD industry.
- Demonstrated understanding of software development principles and design patterns.
- Demonstrated experience in one or more programming languages such as Java C Python or similar.
- Demonstrated experience with Asterisk VoIP Multicast RTP
- Demonstrated experience with the full software development lifecycle and Agile methodologies.
- Ability to obtain and keep a clearance ability to travel working extended hours
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Demonstrated knowledge of Windows and UNIX based platforms (CENTOS/ROCKY/RHEL 8)
- Demonstrated familiarity with software patterns and modern design methodology (UML)
- Demonstrated knowledge of Git or Bitbucket and JIRA
- Demonstrated understanding of cybersecurity principles and secure coding practices (Fortify)
- Demonstrated experience with continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines (Jenkins GitHub).
- Demonstrated understanding of containerization and orchestration technologies (Docker Kubernetes).
