Job Description

Workman School of Dental Medicine is seeking a collaborative and detailoriented Academic and Assessment Coordinator to join our newly expanding Education Logistics team. This role is essential in supporting the academic operations of the school ensuring smooth functioning of our programs assessment and academic functions. You will be responsible for the implementation and management of the assessment tools and strategies across our curriculum and helping to coordinate academic logistics and schedules. As a critical member of our academic team you will play a key role in ensuring that assessment logistics and data are tracked and organized in a preordained system.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education

Bachelors degree in Education Business Administration Health Sciences or a related field.

Experience and Training

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in either educational support organizational management education technology or a similar role ideally in a healthrelated discipline.
  • Experience working with evaluation applications and/or in academic administration roles with an emphasis on technological aptitudes.
  • Experience in data entry.
  • Familiarity with an LMS (Blackboard Canvas etc.)

Preferred Education & experience

  • Masters degree in Education Business Administration or a related field.
  • Experience with accreditation mapping and ensuring alignment of assessments with curriculum and standards.
  • Experience in dental education or academic support within a medical/health sciences environment.
  • Experience in data analytics
  • Familiarity with accreditation standards and curricular mapping in health professions education.
  • Experience with scheduling (e.g. One45)

Knowledge Skills Ability:

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively with faculty staff and students.
  • Detailoriented with a focus on maintaining accuracy in data entry and assessment management.
  • Strong problemsolving skills with the ability to troubleshoot issues related to assessment logistics and software tools.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word Excel PowerPoint) and other educational technologies.
  • Flexibility and Adaptability in a startup model environment.
  • Familiarity with dental or healthcare education is a plus.
  • Growth Mindset Be willing to learn and stay up to date on best practices and process improvement opportunities.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Support Daily Activities: Serve as a liaison by assisting faculty staff and students in their daily activities providing support and troubleshooting as needed as pertains to assessments and academic logistics. Proctor knowledge assessments and assist with running other assessments.
  • Faculty Development: Work with our Manager of Education Program to coordinate and design faculty workshops and resources. Help create calibrations of faculty to map assessments with INDBE and CODA requirements.
  • Question Development & Collection: Coordinating and organizing the collection of assessment questions/test banks ensuring alignment with dental board competencies curricular goals and accreditation standards.
  • Exam Creation & Management: Construct assessments in educational software such as ExamSoft manage exam logistics/scheduling and ensure seamless exam administration and academic integrity via proctoring. Coordinating
  • Data Entry: Input maintain and consolidate assessment data/records to provide valuable insights into student performance curricular effectiveness and areas for learner improvement and program QA/QI. Our program prides itself on extensive question by question analysis.
  • LMS Organization and Management: Oversee the organization workflows and management of the schools Learning Management SystemBlackboard Ultra to provide a seamless continuity between faculty content and learner experience. Your role will include contacting faculty to submit materials that are loaded via a centralized system.
  • Communication: Ensure smooth communication between all parties involved including faculty students and administrative staff via Outlook TEAMs and Zoom. Work collaboratively with other administrative staff to ensure effective communication and coordination across units.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

ACCOUNTABILITY:

  • Evaluation: Ongoing performance reviews are conducted along with an annual assessment by the Manager of Manager of Education Programs and input from the faculty and students.
