The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center Department of Internal Medicine Division of Digestive and Liver Diseases is seeking a Gastroenterologist. Applicant must have an M.D degree or equivalent from an approved LCME medical school and satisfactory completion of an Internal Medicine residency program and Gastroenterology fellowship from an ACGME accredited program. Candidate must be eligible for Texas medical license and be board certified in Internal Medicine Gastroenterology. Applicants just completing training and in the process of obtaining board certification in Gastroenterology are eligible as well. The position will play a major role in the expansion of our ambulatory and hospital-based University clinical practice and in the teaching and training of medical students house staff and fellows.
This position is security-sensitive and subject to Texas Education Code 51.215 which authorizes UT Southwestern to obtain criminal history record information. To the extent this position requires the holder to research work on or have access to critical infrastructure as defined in Section 113.001(2) of the Texas Business and Commerce Code the ability to maintain the security or integrity of the critical infrastructure is a minimum qualification to be hired and to continue to be employed in the position.
Appointment rank will be commensurate with academic accomplishment and experience. Consideration may be given to applicants seeking less than a full-time schedule.
