Job Description
MicroHealth is seeking a EHR Workflow Tester to support our Electronic Health Record (EHR) Modernization project. The ideal candidate will bring handson Cerner experience and a strong background in testing clinical workflows and revenue cycle processes across a variety of care settings.
Must have Cerner EHR experience
Must have Revenue Lifecycle Management experience
Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for overall Project workflow testing including Test planning Testing Strategy testing deliverables (Test Plans Test cases Test Execution Reports etc.)
- Update Master Test Plan that will document processes associated with test design test traceability test execution and the tools used for a large and complex COTS implementation effort
- Design develop evaluate and update test scenarios test plans and test procedures for clinical and revenue cycle workflows
- Create and maintain test scripts record test results and report and track defects through resolution
- Conduct thorough testing of software solutions to ensure quality and reliability across healthcare systems and revenue cycle operations
- Execute detailed testing of revenue cycle workflows within the Cerner EHR system including Registration Patient Access/Encounter Services Eligibility Charge Services Billing Patient Accounting Claims Guarantor Payments/Refunds and 835 Remittance processing
- Validate revenue cycle workflows including patient registration insurance verification charge capture claim submission payment posting and denial management
- Evaluate current clinical and revenue cycle workflows and make recommendations to assist in achieving excellence in quality of care and financial performance
- Document clinical and revenue cycle workflow scenarios and provide feedback to development and implementation teams
- Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) workflow validation sessions and mock golive events for both clinical and revenue cycle components
- Serve as subject matter specialist providing clinical and revenue cycle workflow knowhow for complex to highly complex software/hardware applications
- Develop executable test procedures for interface testing device testing data migration testing and other areas required by the project
- Create project resource estimates define metrics to track completion phase defect reports defect prevention development efficiency and quality
- Identify gaps between current and best practice workflows and make recommendations for improvement in both clinical and revenue cycle operations
- Bachelors degree
- 4 years of experience in EHR implementation clinical system testing or workflow analysis
- Must have experience working with Cerner EHR systems
- Experience with Cerner Revenue Cycle modules and workflows including Registration Patient Access Eligibility Charge Services Billing Claims and Payment Processing
- Demonstrated knowledge of healthcare revenue cycle operations and processes
- Experience working on a fastpaced and collaborative/Agile team delivering highquality products
- Strong understanding of software QA methodologies tools and processes
- Experience in writing clear concise and comprehensive test plans and test cases
- Proficiency in using the Microsoft Office product suite (Word Excel PowerPoint Project Visio)

$95000 $100000
