Position Summary Responsible for the timely execution of Gas Turbine work in a field environment. Perform field service work at customer facility under the direction of the Field Service Manager. Provide technical expertise for troubleshooting maintenance calibration tuning and repair of LM6000 & LM2500 power generation and associated industries instrumentation and control equipment. Ensure quality work is being performed with attention to detail. Position Responsibilities - Perform infield maintenance repairs inspections unit installations and commissioning ensuring that this work is carried out in accordance with the applicable OEM manuals specifications and procedures standard industry practices and any other infield service activities as required.
- Good understanding of PLC control systems IE: GE Millennium MarkV MarkVI MarkVIE Allen Bradley Woodward Netcon MicroNet MicroNet Plus
- Records and reports abnormal function or outoftolerance conditions of equipment and initiates corrective action and documentation
- Provide documents of daily records of inspection maintenance activity repair and other work performed within approved guidelines and procedures Troubleshoots reinstalls tests evaluates calibrates and maintains instruments or devices upon completion of repairs
- Perform infield maintenance and modifications on packages and ancillary equipment.
- Help to ensure that customer expectations are met in terms of delivery cost quality and responsiveness.
- Work with the Field Service Team(s) to ensure a focused constructive and communicative working environment delivering high levels of personal and company performance.
- Monitor and maintain tooling and equipment. Ensure that this equipment is kept in safe reliable working order. Remove from service any tool or equipment found to be defective.
- Use of hand tools to conduct general maintenance of customer equipment
- Make recommendations on tooling and equipment to be provisioned for a gas generator field service group.
- Make recommendations on policy and procedures to improve field service shop productivity and the profit of the company in general as well as contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
- Assist with the setup of a field service capability providing operational and maintenance support.
- Report on business development and field service issues/progress regularly.
- Other duties as directed by the Field Services Manager.
- The position performs work at client locations and the position will require extensive travel.(7075%)
Required Qualifications - 5 years of experience with LM6000 and LM2500 Gas Turbines and Auxiliary Equipment.
- Lives within 1 hr. from a major airport.
- US work authorization is a precondition of employment. The company will not consider candidates who require sponsorship for a workauthorized visa.
- Successful candidate will need to satisfactorily complete preemployment drug screen and background check
Desired Qualifications - 5years of experience with LM6000 and LM2500 Gas Turbines and Auxiliary Equipment.
- Experience with Mark VI Mark Vie Micronet Plus Netcon and PLCbased control systems.
- Experience with the calibration of smart transmitters and other instrumentation.
- Experience with LM6000 and LM2500 Gas Turbines.
- Available to work flexible work schedules.
- Willing to travel and work domestically and internationally.
- Technical competence including understanding software hardware networks etc.
- Demonstrated competency in analog and digital process control loop and instrument maintenance repair and troubleshooting.
- Demonstrated understanding of electrical equipment operation electrical equipment maintenance requirements and maintenance restrictions imposed by safety and environmental regulations.
