About the role

The Markets division sits within the Wholesale Banking domain of Rabobank and houses all our financial markets related activities including Capital Markets Trading and Sales. With colleagues in dealing rooms in all major financial centres we offer our global client base local expertise and execution capabilities.

The Corporate Risk & Treasury Management team of Markets Australia offers foreign exchange (FX) Interest rate and Commodity derivative risk management solutions to the Wholesale Banking customers of Rabobank Australia and New Zealand Group (RANZG).

As an Executive Director Corporate Risk Treasury Management (CRTM) you will be responsible for covering a portfolio of 20 to 25 wholesale clients providing them with derivative hedging solutions to meet their FX and Interest rate price risk hedging needs. You will also work closely with the CRTM commodity team to assist them in providing a commodity price risk management service to your portfolio. The client portfolio consists of professional corporate clients (typically revenues greater than AUD 500mln) who require competitive pricing and a proactive sales coverage from a syndicate of banks and other capital providers. Daily activities include pricing and executing derivative transactions demonstrating thought leadership by forming trade ideas to share with clients providing regular market updates to clients conducting client meetings engaging with traders and research analysts internal meetings with key stakeholders (e.g. risk and relationship managers) and coaching / supporting junior team members. You will also have the opportunity to assist the CRTM team with the development and roll out of new products.

To be successful in this role you will have:

• 10 (plus) years working experience within the banking industry or the broader financial markets (including FIs and corporate treasuries)
• At least 8 years derivative FX sales experience with either domestic and/or international banks corporate treasury divisions or FIs. Additional experience in selling/pitching interest rate derivatives will be looked upon favourably
• Strong commercial skills and excellent market awareness across FX and/or interest rate markets will also put you in go stead for this role but again not essential.
• Excellent communication organisation sales and time management skills and have a successful track record in meeting / exceeding targets.
