We offer a wide range of specialist services including 24/7 emergency care surgery medicine anaesthesia imaging and visiting dermatologists. An Exciting Leadership Opportunity to Work in a Collaborative Environment
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Specialist Surgeon to join our team as Head of Department and playing a leading role in shaping the future of veterinary surgery in Sydney. At SVES we pride ourselves on creating a supportive collegial work culture with a shared commitment to continuous learning. You will have access to toptier tools including Synthes and Orthomed plating and orthopaedic equipment EPen Neuro Burr Biomedtrix THR systems and ILoc Interlocking Nail System.
Our new Head of Department will have full accountability for
- Setting the vision and roadmap for the Surgery service & team
- Managing the surgical caseload in conjunction with the surgical team
- Collaborating with Specialists across other departments to provide patients and clients with the best care outcomes
- Providing mentoring and guidance to interns
- Offering orthopaedic soft tissue neurologic and emergency surgeries (as required)
- Promoting and upholding the core values of VetPartners fostering a collaborative and cooperative culture across all services.
What Were Looking For
We are looking for an experienced and suitably qualified Small Animal Specialist Surgeon who has achieved diplomate or equivalent status (ACVS/ECVS/FANZCVS) and is eligible for Specialist Registration with the Australian Veterinary Board Council.
