Who are we looking for
Were looking for a System Integration Engineerto join ourDelivery Project Services (DPS)team in Perth Australia.
As a key member of the team you will be tasked with successfully delivering technical Control Systems Communication and Integration solutions for a variety of projects in the infrastructure and renewable sectors covering a range of hardware and software solutions as part of an engineering team.
When required you will also be a point of contact for our clients and will provide support for project solutions from conception to completion.
The successful applicant will have the flexibility and willingness to mobilise to support project site activities including both Construction and Commissioning.
Working with an energetic and high performing team this position offers a variety of work and will see you involved in:
- Providing specialised control systems design and support services for several control systems including Allen Bradley PLC systems AVEVA/Citect SCADA and/or Siemens T3000 and relevant Siemens SCADA systems
- Providing specialised design and support services for various communications networks
- Reviewing of supplier documentation to ensure deliverables are consistently checked accurate and presentable
- When required attend suppliers premises for the purposes of software and hardware testing
- Provide both offsite and onsite support for the construction and commissioning of commissioning control systems and communications networks
- Identify potential problems that may arise in project designs and effectively liaise with third parties to work towards a resolution of the issue
- Delivery of technical reports and specifications as well as undertaking and overseeing the production of concept and detailed design drawings
- Ensure the accuracy and quality of design deliverables and outputs
What you will bring to the team:
- A minimum of 8 years experience in control systems and industrial communication design preferably in the resources or renewables sector
- Exposure to software development FAT IST SAT and project handover is essential
- Exposure to preparing control system functional specifications and control philosophies
- Industrial communications knowledge especially network protocols network design including fibreoptics preparing network and FOBOT interconnection and block diagrams
- Experience in preparing equipment data sheets for instruments valves and communications equipment
- Previous sitebased experience / knowledge is desirable.
- A willingness to work in an office based environment as well as potentially mobilise to site for short to medium term engagements
- A team first mindset with the drive and previous project experience to deliver control system plant designs for mining oil & gas food and agribusiness sector clients will be well regarded
- Previous experience from initial project concept/inception through to detailed design construction and commissioning will be well regarded.
