Job Description

About the role:

The Therapeutic Supported Independent Living (TSIL) Caseworker is responsible for providing high quality and effective case work services for young people in Intensive Therapeutic Care who are living independently and or still receiving casework after being restored to their parents. The TSIL Caseworker will plan for and achieve permanency and identified case plan outcomes for children young people their families authorised carers prospective guardians and adoptive parents. This is achieved through an interactive and dynamic case management approach with an emphasis on ongoing analysis decision making and record keeping ensuring the child or young persons needs are identified and being met.

This is a Permanent FullTime opportunity based in Blacktown NSW within our PSP Therapeutic Supported Independent Living (TSIL) Program. The position reports to the TSIL Coordinator.

Key Selection Criteria:

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Minimum qualification requirements for this position is a Bachelors Degree relevant to the position; Community Services or case work
  • Demonstrated experience in casework practice preferably in OutofHomeCare
  • Demonstrated experience in working with young people with complex care needs
  • Current First Aid Certificate or wiling to obtain
  • Aboriginal staff a qualification is desirable but experience and willingness; to participate in training is essential;
