Job Description

The South West Aboriginal Medical Service (SWAMS) is an Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Service based in Bunbury which provides a variety of health services to Aboriginal people in the South West Great South Upper Wheatbelt and Peel Regions of Western Australia. SWAMS delivers a wide range of Services including: GP Clinics Primary Health Care Counselling NDIS and community host various programs. SWAMS has a strong growth strategy through partnership opportunities and future community development.

About the role

The Systems and Support Coordinator is responsible for overseeing and directing the organisations IT infrastructure ensuring that all technology systems software and cloud platforms are efficient secure and aligned with strategic business objectives. This role leads the development and execution of IT strategies with a focus on Microsoft 365 Azure and cybersecurity frameworks that support the organisations goals. Responsibilities of the role include:

  • Providing strategic technical guidance on IT solutions system upgrades and emerging technology trends.
  • Managing IT support services across multiple locations ensuring timely resolution of technical issues and maintaining high service standards.
  • Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to align IT initiatives with organisational priorities.
  • Ensuring the reliable operation and maintenance of computer systems servers and network infrastructure.
  • Implementing and upholding cybersecurity protocols in accordance with industry best practices and data protection standards.

About you

Essential Aspects:

  • Qualifications in Computer Science Information Technology System Administration or a closely related field; or equivalent experience.
  • Experience in systems leadership and decision making.
  • Strong communication skills to collaborate with stakeholders team members management and endusers.
  • Administrative experience in Microsoft 365 and Azure including user management.
  • Provided ability to manage IT operations across multiple locations and oversee IT personnel.
  • Experience working with thirdparty vendors or managing IT service contracts.

Desirable Aspects:

  • Experience in the health industry.
  • Experience in system integrations and ensuring seamless connectivity between software solutions.
  • Knowledge and expertise in a variety of coding languages.
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity principles and the ability to implement secure IT practices.
