Job Description
As a fulltime DME (Durable Medical Equipment) Specialist at DMOS supporting the West Des Moines Des Moines and Urbandale clinics youll help our patients get back to living by assisting with fitting dispersing and answering questions for patients (and staff) needing Durable Medical Equipment. Every day you will work alongside our Physicians and fellow clinical team members to create a comfortable patient experience. To thrive in this role you have a prior knowledge and experience with DME whether it be formal knowledge/training or on the job experience.
Heres What You Can Expect
- Youll be on your feet most of the day assisting patients with orthopaedic durable medical equipment for postsurgical splinting and bracing.
- You will be knowledgeable in understanding the processing of insurance and/or payments for splints and braces dispersed to in clinic answering questions that patients and staff may have.
- Reaching stooping and walking while assisting patients with their care during appointments
- A small closeknit team of professionals you can rely on who work closely with our doctors to provide patient care we are proud of.

- Skills. Skilled with DME fitting and understanding whether formal or onthejob knowledge.
- Communication. You know how to communicate clearly and calmly. You know how important it is to listen ask questions and avoid interrupting.
- Calm. Ability to provide reassurance when patients are nervous.
- Independent worker. You know how to keep yourself focused and when to ask for help.
