Job Description

Norco is currently seeking a positive proactive and detail oriented individual for our Payroll Coordinator position. The Payroll Coordinator is part of a team responsible for processing payroll and supporting employee benefit programs at Norco. The Payroll Coordinator will also interacts with and support managers and employees on questions relating to payroll issues. Problem solving includes detailed analysis critical thinking and reconciliation in addition to adherence with multiple regulations. There is growth opportunity within the payroll function for the right individual.

Other responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Administer time keeping system to ensure employee compliance with company policies and state/federal regulations.
  • Process semimonthly payroll.
  • Work closely with Human Resources and the Payroll and Benefits Manager to ensure the integrity of employee data.
  • Prepare and process payroll taxes garnishments liens and other miscellaneous stipend payments
  • Assist with various payroll reconciliations and audits.
  • Support payroll with preparation and process of required payroll reporting and multistate tax filings as regulated by various agencies including annual W2/1095 filings.

Qualifications :

  • Minimum two years of payroll processing experience
  • Attitude for continual learning problem solving forward thinking and growth
  • Knowledge and understanding of time keeping and payroll systems
  • General familiarity with the employment laws that impact payroll and benefits (HIPPA FLSA ACA etc.)
  • Working knowledge of multistate payroll laws
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Good customer service skills
  • Excel proficiency
  • Adaptability to frequent changes in priorities fast pace of work
  • Attention to detail is critical to effectively and accurately process information from multiple sources
  • Rises to the occasion and accepts a challenge to support Norcos staff
