The Mariners Kids Early Childhood Experience Coordinator is responsible for leading and creating biblically based engaging and ageappropriate large group experiences for children in the early childhood ministry. This individual will develop thriving volunteer teams consisting of adults teenagers and preteens in various roles including hosts tech and worship. The coordinator will also design and implement creative onstage elements to enhance the weekend services and special events within Mariners Kids.
This position reports to the Early Childhood Director on the Kids team. A full time position the schedule generally includes weekend services meetings at our office in Irvine and additional time during the week for a total of 40 hours. This position is non exempt under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA).
Large Group Experience Leadership
- Own and manage large group experiences for Mariners Kids early childhood environments including weekend services and ministrywide events (e.g. VBS Child Dedication).
- Lead and facilitate rehearsals training and execution of creative elements for early childhood large group environments.
Volunteer Leadership & Development
- Recruit train and equip large group volunteers including coaches to excel in their roles.
- Develop and maintain a pipeline for volunteer recruitment training and development to ensure high engagement and ministry excellence.
Creative Design & Execution
- Design and implement creative onstage sets and elements for early childhood environments in collaboration with the elementary experience team.
- Oversee all stage props and design elements to enhance the large group experience.
- Recruit train and lead creative volunteers to execute onstage sets and other creative elements.
Resource & Logistics Management
Collaboration
- Partner with the Early Childhood Director and Elementary Experience Coordinator to ensure a cohesive experience across all Mariners Kids environments.
- Represent Mariners Kids Ministry during churchwide worship opportunities and collaborate on various ministry initiatives and events.
Qualifications :
Qualifications
- Authentic relationship with Jesus Christ and a commitment to personal spiritual growth
- 35 years of experience in childrens ministry or education with a preference for experience in recruitment leadership development worship or creative ministry
- Knowledge of varying age levels teaching and learning styles in childrens ministry
- Proactive adaptable and solutionoriented approach to challenges
- Highly relational flexible and able to work well with diverse teams and volunteers
- Highly organized with attention to detail strong oral and written communication skills
- Strong learner adaptable to new ideas and enjoys challenges
