Are you a detailoriented accounting professional looking to contribute your expertise to a missiondriven organization The Ocean Community YMCA is seeking a Senior Accountant to support our financial operations and help strengthen our community through youth development healthy living and social responsibility. This is a parttime position with the potential to transition to fulltime in the future.
As a key member of our Finance Team youll work closely with the Chief Financial Officer to manage accounts payable assist with payroll and support month and yearend closings. This is a parttime role with a flexible scheduleperfect for a seasoned accountant seeking meaningful parttime work.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare monthly journal entries and reconciliations
Assist with financial statements audits and budget prep
Manage full Accounts Payable cycle and support payroll processing
Reconcile credit card accounts and financial reports
Support special projects and maintain compliance with security protocols
Qualifications:
BA/BS in Accounting (CPA or advanced degree preferred)
Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience preferably in nonprofits
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and accounting systems (Abila/MIP preferred)
Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities
Excellent communication organization and analytical skills
