We are seeking a highly motivated and driven Senior Tax Specialist to join our tax team. As a Senior Tax Specialist you will work on a variety of US and global tax compliance research and planning projects. You will also have the opportunity to participate in ongoing process improvements and tax automation projects working crossfunctionally with a variety of teams at Jump.
This role is based out of our Chicago office with an expectation to work in the office a majority of each week.
What Youll Do:
- Work with our global service providers to prepare and review income tax returns for US and nonUS entities
- Assist senior team members with researching complex and unique tax issues
- Prepare indirect tax returns for jurisdictions throughout the US Europe and Asia
- Proactively identify opportunities for process enhancements and assist with the design and implementation of proposed automation solutions
- Participate in the preparation of ASC 740 tax provisions
- Collaborate with the team on complex transfer pricing issues and processes
- Assist with responses to tax authority correspondence and tax examinations
- Additional duties as assigned or needed
Skills Youll Need:
- At least three years of tax experience in public accounting
- BS/BA in Accounting or a related field
- CPA and/or MST preferred
- Experience with tax return preparation in your area of expertise
- Highly proficient in MS Excel
- Experience in one or more of the following areas is preferred but not required:
- Indirect Tax
- International Tax
- ASC 740 tax provisions
- Fixed asset data management and calculating tax depreciation adjustments
- Exceptional written and verbal communication
- Ability to multitask and prioritize projects in a fastpaced environment
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Impeccable ethics integrity and discretion when working with confidential information
- Ability to work both independently and within a team to identify and resolve issues
- Flexible conscientious inquisitive and motivated by constant change
