Summary of Duties
As an Office Manager 2 you will:
Supervise clerical administrative and business support staff.
Participate as a member of the Child Welfare management team.
Help develop and review proposals to enhance District and Department performance.
Oversee recruitment and hiring processes.
Explain program policies and procedures to staff.
Interpret regulations and policies for provider and client cases.
Support budget development and planning in collaboration with Program and District Managers.
Review service quality reports and data and share feedback with management and staff.
Handle program needs by assigning tasks adjusting schedules and ensuring proper staffing.
Ensure support staff services and processes are efficient timely and accurate.
Actively seek to provide culturally appropriate services where individuals are treated with respect and compassion in a manner that recognizes affirms and values the worth of children individuals families and communities.
Minimum Qualifications
One year of experience as a supervisor of clerical secretarial or office support staff that includes hiring or recommending hiring training assigning and reviewing work preparing performance evaluations and handling disciplinary actions.

Working Conditions
Your work will primarily take place in the Grants Pass ODHS Child Welfare office. Occasionally you may have some opportunities for remote work but this will need to be discussed with and approved by your manager.
Your typical work schedule will be Monday through Friday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Pacific Standard Time (PST).
You will work a professional work week where the hours of work fluctuate on a daily and weekly basis to meet service needs. On rare occasions you may be called into the office after hours.
On rare occasions you may have local travel to other district offices. The purposes of travel would be to provide coverage or attend meetings.
You will interact with a wide range of people including some who have experienced trauma and may exhibit challenges in controlling their emotions.
You may encounter situations that require quick decisionmaking to ensure safety of yourself and others.
Background Checks and Requirements
A valid drivers license and acceptable driving record are required for this position.

Finalists must be cleared by the FBI Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) through a fingerprintbased criminal records check.
The Oregon Department of Human Services does not offer visa sponsorship. This is a permanent fulltime position and is a Managment Service Supervisory position and is not represented by a union.
