Qualifications:
- High School diploma or GED preferred
- 3 years of experience in related field preferred
- Certified dietary manager dietetic technician or B.S. degree in nutrition and foods preferred
- Successfully complete the ServSafe Manager Training certification course within 3 months of employment

Reports to: Principal/Coordinator of Child Nutrition
Background Check Required: (Ala. Code 1622A5 ) Upon offer of employment employees will be required to submit legible fingerprints for a background review by the Alabama Bureau of Investigation and the Federal Bureau of Investigation. Background checks may not be more than ten (10) years old.
Required Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
- Ability to be proficient in the use of email and other Microsoft Office Programs such as Word and Excel.
- Ability to produce accurate reports.
- Ability to complete food orders based on rotating menu schedule.
- Ability to work with school personnel and assist with training evaluation and special opportunities/occasions
- Ability to lift up to 40lbs unassisted and capable of completing other physical activities such as; squatting kneeling stooping etc.
- Ability to complete required functions of a CNP Worker and CNP WorkerCashier when necessary.
- Physical and emotional ability and dexterity to perform required work and move about as needed in a fast paced highly intensive work environment.
Essential Functions:
- Ensures an ample supply of food during the meal service times.
- Develops daily work assignments and a cleaning schedule for CNP workers.
- Ensures proper temperatures are maintained according to health department standards.
- Maintains a daily record of cooler and freezer temperatures.
- Conducts orientation of all new CNP Employees.
- Conducts a yearly evaluation of all CNP Employees according to the established Board policies.
- Completes daily food production records.
- Completes and submits a monthly inventory of all food and supplies.
- Conducts one student and one parent involvement activity each school year.
- Assists in meal preparation meal service and cleaning assignments as necessary.
- Instructs and supervises CNP workers regarding policies and procedures.
- Follow HACCP plan guidelines and ensure compliance by CNP workers.

Expected Employment: 187 days/ 8 hrs.(full year)
Evaluation: According to established Board policies and administrative procedures and guidelines.
Salary Range: According to Madison City Schools Salary Schedule (Salary based on employment for complete year).
Up to 10 years experience will be counted for new employees who provide documentation of fulltime experience in the area of concentration.
