Biomedical Equipment Repair Technician (BMET) Level II

Description
The Biomedical Equipment Technician (BMET) Level II is responsible for performing routine and complex maintenance calibration and repairs on a wide range of biomedical equipment. This role requires a strong technical background excellent problemsolving skills and the ability to work independently. The technician will also provide training and support to junior staff and clinical users.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Conduct routine and complex maintenance calibration and repairs on biomedical equipment.
Troubleshoot and resolve equipment malfunctions utilizing schematics and technical manuals.
Ensure all biomedical equipment meets safety and performance standards.
Document all maintenance and repair actions in the equipment management system.
Conduct quality assurance assessments on employee tasks and repair orders.
Provide training and support to junior technicians and clinical staff.
Collaborate with manufacturers and vendors for technical support and equipment updates.
Participate in the evaluation and implementation of new biomedical equipment.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
Associate degree in Biomedical Equipment Technology Electronics or a related field or DoD BMET School Graduate.
Two years of experience in biomedical equipment maintenance and repair.
Basic understanding of electronic mechanical and computer systems.
Strong analytical and problemsolving skills.
Good communication and customer service skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Must be detailoriented and able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Basic computer skills including proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
Salary
$ 48000 $ 61000 Annualized
$ 23.06 $ 31.25 per hour.

The work environment involves exposure to potentially dangerous materials and situations that require following extensive safety precautions and may include the use of protective equipment.
Physical Demands
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Ability to stand bend and stoop for extended periods.
Manual dexterity and handeye coordination.
