Position Summary
The Procurement Logistics Coordinator plays a vital role in supporting the procurement team by coordinating tracking and managing inbound shipments of raw materials. This role ensures the timely pickup and delivery of raw materials from domestic and international suppliers to our processing facilities. The ideal candidate has excellent communication tracking and coordination skills and can handle multiple shipments simultaneously while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities
- Shipment Coordination:Schedule and coordinate all inbound raw material shipments including freight pickups thirdparty logistics and carrier communications.
- Tracking & Updates:Monitor shipments in realtime provide status updates to the procurement team and proactively resolve delays or issues.
- Vendor Communication:Act as a liaison between suppliers freight brokers and internal teams to confirm pickup readiness documentation and shipping requirements.
- Document Management:Collect and maintain all relevant shipping documents (BOLs customs paperwork invoices etc.) for audit and compliance purposes.
- System Updates:Enter and maintain shipment data in the companys tracking systems and shared tools to ensure realtime visibility for all stakeholders.
- Problem Solving:Troubleshoot logistics problems including delays damaged goods or miscommunications with carriers.
- Reporting:Generate reports on shipment status lead times and performance metrics for internal procurement and operations reviews.
Qualifications
- 13 years of experience in logistics fulfillment coordination or supply chain operations preferably in food or consumer goods.
- Familiarity with freight logistics (LTL FTL international shipments) and thirdparty logistics providers.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Comfortable working with shipping software Google Workspace (especially Sheets and Docs) and inventory or procurement tools.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a fastpaced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with organic supply chains or regulated goods.
- Basic knowledge of customs documentation or international freight a plus.
