Job Description

Position Summary:

The Director of Academics is responsible for all strategic planning visionsetting crosscampus coordination and highlevel oversight in these five domains (curriculum and assessment EdTech leadership innovation programs online course design and PD strategy). Routine transactional or dataentry tasks within each domain can be assigned to dedicated support staffensuring the Directors time is focused on advancing best practices collaborating with principals and driving a Christcentered futureforward academic vision.


Responsibilities Include:

Curriculum Standards & Assessment Oversight

  • Lead the curation and ongoing revision of curriculum documents (standards scopeandsequence maps Courses of Study) across all four campuses.
  • Coordinate PK12 assessment strategy including standardized testing (MAP ACT PSAT AP) and datadriven review with counseling and subjectarea leads.
  • Facilitate regular crosscampus meetings with department leads to ensure vertical and horizontal alignment of curriculum and instructional practice.

Educational Technology Leadership

  • Set strategic direction for CanvasLMS and other classroomlearning platforms ensuring they serve PK12 pedagogical goals.
  • Oversee budgeting procurement and cataloguing of all curricular and instructionaltechnology materials (including state auxiliary/ODE funds).
  • Define and maintain protocols for technology integrationpartnering with IT and AV vendorsto advance a flexible futureready learning ecosystem.

Professional Development & Teacher Growth

  • Develop and implement a PK12 professionallearning strategy including inservice days workshops and partnerships (e.g. federal Title funding).
  • Oversee the teacherevaluation system in partnership with principals ensuring it aligns to bestpractice pedagogy and Christian principles.
  • Manage major PD funding streams (Title Innovation Fund tuition reimbursement) set policy and track equity of access across campuses.

Innovation & Online Learning

  • Articulate and drive growth of student innovation programs (robotics esports entrepreneurship) ensuring they reflect the schools mission and expand pipelines.
  • Oversee design and management of the CHCA Online course catalogand ensure continual refresh as new tools emerge.

Tasks to Delegate to Support Staff

(These are operational or transactional tasks better handled by specialists or coordinators reporting to the Director.)

DaytoDay EdTech Operations

  • Light triage of helpdesk tickets basic troubleshooting and useraccount support in Canvas.
  • Asset tracking and inventory management of classroom devices and AV equipment.
  • Processing purchase orders vendor communications and budget reconciliation entries

Assessment Logistics

  • Scheduling test administrations (MAP ACT PSAT AP) room assignments and communication with students/families.
  • Data entry of assessment results into reporting systems and initial generation of score reports.

Program Support & Communications

  • Managing socialmedia posts newsletters and eventpromotion logistics for innovation programs.
  • Coordinating daytoday operations of robotics esports and studentrun helpdesk teams.

Professional Development Administration

  • Tracking individual teacher PD participation maintaining LPDC records and processing tuitionreimbursement paperwork.
  • Handling room bookings materials distribution and registration for workshops and inservice sessions.

Qualifications:

  • Masters Degree in Educational Leadership Curriculum and Instruction or a related field
  • 510 years of experience in education or instructional leadership
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills
  • Deep understanding of instructional design and pedagogy
  • Datadriven decisionmaking
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Familiarity with education standards and regulatory requirements
  • Proficiency with learning management systems (LMS) and other edtech tools
  • Proven experience in:
    • Curriculum development
    • Staff supervision and training
    • Program assessment and accreditation
    • Budget management (in some roles)
