Job Description

The ideal candidate at minimum must have the following:

Option 1

  • Completion of undergraduate core program in public or business administration
  • AND12 months training or experience in government laws rules regulations &/or procedures governing unemployment insurance
  • AND12 months experience in supervisory principles/techniques

Option 2

  • 36 months experience or training in government laws rules regulations &/or procedures governing unemployment insurance
  • AND12 months experience in supervisory principles/techniques

Option 3

  • 12 months experience as and Unemployment Insurance Supervisor(previouslyUnemployment Compensation Manager 2 ODJFS Program Delivery Supervisor or Unemployment Contribution Supervisor)

Option 4

  • Equivalent of minimum class qualifications for employment noted above.

Pay Information

This position is in the State of Ohios E1 Pay Schedule Pay Range 14. Unless required by legislation or union contract starting salary will be the minimum salary of that pay range (step 1 currently $37.53 per hour). These ranges provide a standardized pathway for pay increases. With continued employment new hires move to the next step in the range after 6 months and annually thereafter. Cost of Living Adjustments increase wages in these ranges each fiscal year. The current step progression wages are in the table below.

Office of Unemployment Insurance Operations

This is a midlevel manager in our Contact Center that will be in direct supervision of the Contact Center Supervisors.

What Youll Do

  • Create and plan training for Contact Center Supervisors
  • Create KPIs for the team and monitor supervisors work
  • Create opportunities for supervisors for career development
  • Work with UI Executive team on overall objectives and goals for the Contact Center
  • Engage supervisors in oneonone meetings

Challenges

Managers in the largescale Contact Center face significant challenges in overseeing multiple supervisorlevel teams each responsible for monitoring and reviewing the work of 612 frontline staff.

Schedule: Monday through Friday 8:00AM 5:00PM
