Job Description

At Catapult we are currently supporting one of our members an expanding and successful organization in the Autism and Intellectual and Development Disabilities (IDD) Services sector in their search for an HR Director. Our member is dedicated to supporting individuals and families and creating impactful changes in their lives. Ideal candidates have a passion first and foremost for the profound care and services our member provides to individuals and families and also bring profound HR acumen to serve as a strategic leader playing a pivotal role in shaping and directing all aspects of the company HR Department.


The HR Director will oversee key functions including organizational development talent acquisition and retention employee engagement compensation and benefits compliance and diversity equity and inclusion initiatives. Acting as a senior advisor to executive leadership the HR Director will help shape a highperforming inclusive workplace culture and ensure HR practices effectively support longterm company success.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and lead the execution of longterm HR strategies aligned with the companys vision and objectives
  • Lead a highperforming team providing guidance and mentorship to HR staff
  • Establish implement and oversee organizationalwide HR policies and procedures ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and regulations proactively identifying and mitigating HRrelated risks
  • Drive organizational development initiatives including culture change leadership development and restructuring to support the companys growth and evolution leading change management efforts across the organization
  • Develop and track key HR metrics to measure effectiveness and drive continuous improvement; forecast workforce needs develop succession plans and implement talent management strategies to attract develop and retain top talent
  • Oversee the handling of complex employee relations matters including conflict resolution grievances investigations and accommodations; develop and implement comprehensive performance management systems to drive employee development performance improvement and accountability
  • Design and manage competitive compensation and benefit programs aligning them with market trends and organizational goals
  • Lead initiatives to foster a positive work environment enhance employee engagement and improve retention; champion and lead DEI initiatives across the organization creating an inclusive and equitable workplace for all employees

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree or higher in Business Administration I/O Psychology or a related field required
  • 35 years of progressive experience in HR management required preferably at least 2 years in a leadership role with extensive knowledge and practical experience in HR systems policies and practices including compensation performance management safety employee relations benefits administration reporting and federal and state employment laws (such as FMLA ADA and Workers Compensation)
  • SHRM or HRCI certification or equivalent experience required
  • Deep understanding of HRIS platforms and softwares to streamline HR processes data management and analytics
  • Awareness of emerging trends best practices and innovations in HR management and their potential impact on the organization

This position can work remotely but may require daytime local commuting in the Charlotte NC area at times to support multi site employee populations.
