Under the supervision of the School Principal this Director is responsible for planning management coordination and evaluation of the enrollment management marketing development communications and constituent/public relations programs of the school.
Essential Functions
- Initiate and grow an annual parents grandparents alumni board and friends appeal.
- Enhance the 23 signature events each year with a targeted total dollar amount to be raised.
- Maximize the database system populate it with known donor and prospect information.
- Develop a consistent protocol and discipline for growing and maintaining the database.
- Identify foundations and organizations with guidelines that indicate interest in making gifts and grants to institutions like Our Lady of Mount Carmel School. Submit applications and achieve a record of success in being funded.
- Become a trusted and respected member of the OLMC community.
- Build relations with donors and potential donors to the OLMC community in order to be in a position to ask for support.
- Use public relations social media marketing special events and advertising to position OLMC as an attractive giving option.
- Create a case for support gift opportunities and giving societies that are aligned with OLMCs mission vision and values.
- Work with faculty and staff partners to build a culture of philanthropy.
- Manage all record keeping including donor correspondence and acknowledgment programs.
- Prepare reports to fulfill grant obligations annual yearend tax letters and annual reports as required.
- Oversee fundraising efforts and activities within all facets of the organization.
- Exercise discretion and sensitivity in working with donors and families.
- Regularly report Advancement efforts to the school board.
- Perform other duties as needed.
Position Qualifications
- Bachelors degree.
- Experience in a Catholic educational setting is desired.
- Demonstrated effectiveness as a leader in all areas of Advancement.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in Advancement is desired.
- Visionary leader with a growth mindset.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Attention to detail organization planning and the ability to meet deadlines are crucial for success in this position.
Range: $60000 Annualized
