Job Description

The Senior Administrative Coordinator for the Chief Advancement Officer (CAO) is a key member of the Advancement Department and will help to drive fundraising and engagement success. The Senior Administrative Coordinator is responsible for supporting the CAO to raise funds for Trust for Public Lands mission. The Senior Administrative Coordinator will ensure the smooth functioning of the daytoday operations within the CAOs team including oversight of special projects planning and support of the Advancement Committee liaising with the Presidents and Executive Management Teams offices and creating/maintaining processes and communications to ensure an informed Advancement team. This position reports directly to the CAO. This will be a hybrid role with a preference for candidates near one of the following TPL offices:Atlanta GA; Boston MA; Newark NJ; NYC; Philadelphia PA; Washington DC.

Essential Functions:

Responsibilities:
General Administration:
35% Provide administrative support for the CAO including calendar management scheduling and planning logistics meetings generating and compiling collateral materials; assisting with internal communications CRM portfolio management and specific projects as assigned. Liaison with the Senior Advancement Leadership team and Executive Management Team specifically Presidents office

Project Management and Leadership Coordination:
20% Work closely with the Senior Advancement Team on managing key elements of special projects including internal and donor communications agendas deliverables and deadlines. Participate in AllAdvancement Advancement Management Team and CEO Travel meetings; support Advancement team on select projects as directed by the CAO.

Donor Related Materials and Communications:
25% In collaboration with the CAO closely monitor activity of CAOs portfolio and serve as a contributor in the development of proposals reports and stewardship in collaboration with Donor Relations.

National Board and Volunteer Support:
20% Work closely with CAO and Director of Board Strategy and Engagement to support the National Board of Directors Advancement and Volunteer Leadership Committees by managing meeting logistics creation of materials and coordination with TPL program leadership and Presidents Office as needed

Qualifications:
  • Three to five years of relevant experience in administrative and organizational support; experience as an Executive Assistant preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to use diplomacy and discretion in handling confidential information with tact and professionalism.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills. Demonstrated ability to work well with others including different functional areas within region as well as national departments.
  • Excellent organizational abilities attention to detail promptness and dependability.
  • Ability to work with a high degree of selfdirection and flexibility especially with respect to taking initiative prioritizing multiple tasks and using good judgment to resolve problems.
  • Excellent computer skills; familiarity with and able to use technology to make processes more efficient. Experience managing remote communications technology such as Microsoft Teams.
  • Committed to the mission of Trust for Public Land to create parks and protect land for people ensuring healthy and livable communities for generations to come.
  • Ability to travel nationally onetwo times per year.

Compensation
Trust for Public Land is a hybrid work environment; the Senior Administrative Coordinator will ideally be located near a Trust for Public Land office. As a fulltime exempt employee you will be eligible for the Trust for Public Lands comprehensive benefits program which includes medical dental and vision insurance three weeks of vacation annually plus holidays and a 403(b) retirement plan currently with an up to 7% company match. We offer competitive salaries commensurate with experience; the anticipated hiring range for this position is $65000 $75000. In addition Trust for Public Land offers locality pay to eligible regular employees in select geographic areas.
