How Youll Contribute:
Reporting to the Director of Bereavement Services the Bereavement Counselor provides a range of bereavement counseling services and educational programs to individuals and groups participates in a variety of outreach activities to professional and lay communities.
What Youll Bring:
- MA/ MSW degree from an accredited/recognized school of social work expressive therapy or related field. LICSW LCSW . or LMHC required or if in progress will be obtained within one year.
- Minimum of two years experience in the field of grief counseling preferred.
- Strong interpersonal skills oral and written communication skills.
- Experience and education in leading support groups.
- Demonstrated understanding of hospice philosophy and principles.
- Demonstrated understanding of the principles of grief and loss and the skills needed to assist the bereaved in the healing process.
- Demonstrated ability to be selfdirected flexible and cooperative in fulfilling role obligation and ability to work effectively within an interdisciplinary team.
- Must be a licensed driver with an automobile that is insured in accordance with state and/or organization requirements and in good working order.
