JOB SUMMARY:
Responsible for supervision and training of all maintenance. Takes direction from the Maintenance Manager. This role develops and delivers training programs to equip maintenance personnel with the skills and knowledge to effectively perform their duties insuring efficient and reliable operation. Directing technicians for assigned duties. Supervises maintenance personnel for daytoday control of assigned department activities according to prescribed schedules priorities production flow and processing specifications to ensure overall plant efficiencies are met. Responsible for managing the maintenance training and development. Assures operation of safe and functionally sound equipment. Evaluates assigned work performance and takes corrective action. Leads coaches and trains assigned personnel to work standards and ensures said standards are being followed constantly.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:
1. Acts as a coach by training mentoring scheduling counseling and providing guidance to hourly Maintenance employees.
a. Provides leadership through effective communication and coaching.
b. Provides assistance and support
c. Manage maintenance training by instructing assisting all new and current maintenance employees and ensuring that each employee is able to satisfactorily demonstrate mechanical competencies.
d. Delivers Training by conducting hands on training sessions and simulations to teach maintenance technicians how to perform their jobs safely and efficiently
e. Evaluate training effectiveness by assessing the knowledge and skills of trainees.
f. Identifies training needs by analyzing job performance equipment failures and other relevant information to identify areas where training is needed.
g. Ensures a positive work environment exhibiting the companys values and a culture of respect for all employees.
h. Motivates corrects and challenges personnel with a positive approach.
