Job Description:
Were looking for a dedicated team member to serve as a key link in connecting EMS providers communities schools and stakeholders across the state with vital EMS training opportunities.
In this role youll help ensure that lifesaving courses are accessible and welldistributed supporting the ongoing development and readiness of EMS personnel and the communities they serve.

Examples of Work:
The EMS Education Specialist will:
- Assist training agencies with skills training psychomotor testing exams continuing education and identification of emerging educations needs including but not limited to eNARSIS conferences instructor recruitment etc.
- The EMS Education Specialist will be cross trained to perform EMS training agency inspections and / or EMS service inspections.
- Maintain the Statewide EMS Protocols both the written and mobile application as approved by the Board of Emergency Medical Services
- Manage the online continuing education platform and be responsible for scheduling education classes offered virtually by DHHS.
- Assist with the processing and payment of EMS education tuition reimbursement and will be cross trained to assist with all aspects of EMS licensing such as issuance renewals and audits.

Requirements / Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
Post high school coursework/training in community health education biological science adult/continuing education or related field AND experience in public/community health education activities with responsibility for: developing and evaluating health education programs; determining health needs; preparing educational and informational materials training aids and presentations; or conferring with individuals and groups to exchange information pertinent to community health education programs.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Licensed as a Nebraska EMT Advanced EMT or Paramedic.
- Licensed as a Nebraska EMS Instructor.
- Expert in Microsoft Office suite including Vizio.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
Knowledge of:
- EMS education testing operations;
- National Registry of Emergency Medical Technician requirements and testing;
- Nebraska EMS Statutes Rules and Regulations and Protocols;
- Use of multimedia for educational purposes; program performance improvement;
- Impact of education and EMS to communities and public health; initial and continuing EMS education standards.
Skills in:
- presenting information to groups;
- use of technology for presenting to groups.
Ability to:
- plan educational courses and design training aids programs and presentations;
- communicate with various stakeholders and decision makers
- prepare reports and requests for proposals grants and contracts.
