Job Description
THE POSITION
Utilize your experience in dental hygiene as a Dental Hygienist! The State Correctional Institution (SCI) at Coal Township is seeking an energetic and enthusiastic individual to join our dental team. DESCRIPTION OF WORK
As a Dental Hygienist you will perform dental hygiene treatments at SCI Coal Township. Your duties will include performing dental prophylaxis procedures required to remove calculus deposits accretions excess or flash restorative materials and stains from the exposed surfaces of the teeth and beneath the gingiva. This will involve evaluating patients to identify hygiene needs determining dental hygiene treatment plans for patients and providing instruction to patients for dental hygiene practices. In this position you will assist dentists during dental procedures and perform a variety of clerical tasks to facilitate successful operation of the dental office. Your work will be performed under the direct and general supervision of a dentist and reviewed through observation evaluation of results obtained and periodic reports.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Fulltime employment 37.5 hours per week
- Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM Monday Friday with a 30minute lunch.
- This position is eligible for full retirement benefits at age 50 or 55.
- Telework:You will not have the option to telework in this position.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY
QUALIFICATIONS
Special Requirements:
- You must possess a license to practice as a dental hygienist as issued by the Pennsylvania State Board of Dentistry.
Other Requirements:
- Successful completion of basic training in Elizabethtown PA is required.
- PA residency requirementis currently waived for this title.
- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
