Job Title: Shipping/ Receiving/ Warehouse

SUMMARY
Assists the parts department personnel and manager to run warehouse by performing the following duties.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Helps maintain the professional appearance of the parts department.
Stay up to date of current and new products and the location of the inventory within the facility.
Checkin merchandise in against receiving ticket and POs.
Load and unload trucks and trailers by hand or by use of a hand truck forklift (must be certified/company will provide if required) or dolly.
Box pad and secure items to prevent damage during shipments. Prepare bills of lading for shipment.
Prepare return tickets or warranty materials and record damage of faulty material.
Assist at counter with customers when necessary.
Report outofstock items to parts manager.
Maintain the warehouse so it is clean organized and safe for all employees.
Check in returned parts and cores and put them in proper location.
Assist in returning cores and new returns
Daily return checks as well as core checks
Helps deliver parts to the back counter and shop
Sort incoming freight as stock or pass through as nonstock; opens packages and boxes verifies accuracy of shipment; inspects for damage and records discrepancies and report findings to Purchasing Agent.
Compares shipment packing slips against POs to verify accuracy; communicates with Purchasing Agent to resolve discrepancies; monitors internal back orders product and packaging changes etc.
Places stock items on storage shelves and adjusts inventory control records through the receiving process
Helps with stocking and posting orders when they arrive to expedite delivery to shop technicians and wholesale/retail accounts.
Notifies appropriate parties when special order parts arrive.
Assists in monthly and annual parts returns.
Keeps parts area clean and uncluttered.
Maintains professional appearance.
Assures proper control of the parts inventory and related administrative functions.
Reports immediately to Parts Manager any circumstance or trend which affects job productivity.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions short correspondence and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in oneonone and small group situations to customers clients and other employees of the organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add subtract multiply and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers common fractions and decimals. Ability to compute rate ratio and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written oral or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
