CallonDoc is seeking one Parttime PCR/Molecular Technologist for their lab in Dallas TX. The candidate must have a start up lab experience and be able to work independently with minimal supervision. Only candidates residing in the DFW area will be considered.

1) will play a crucial role in performing molecular biology techniques particularly Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) and other related laboratory procedures. You will be responsible for carrying out DNA/RNA extraction amplification and analysis contributing to the detection and diagnosis of various genetic infectious and medical conditions. Your work will directly impact patient care research and advancements in the field of molecular biology.
Responsibilities:
1. PCR and Amplification Techniques: Prepare reagents solutions and samples for PCR experiments. Perform DNA/RNA extraction and purification processes. Set up and execute PCR reactions for targeted DNA amplification. Ensure proper handling and disposal of PCR products to prevent contamination.
2. Laboratory Protocols: Follow established laboratory protocols standard operating procedures (SOPs) and safety guidelines. Maintain accurate and detailed laboratory records including experimental procedures results and observations.
3. Instrument Operation: Operate and maintain laboratory equipment such as thermal cyclers realtime PCR machines and gel electrophoresis systems. Troubleshoot equipment issues and perform routine maintenance.
4. Data Analysis: Analyze PCR results using gel electrophoresis capillary electrophoresis or realtime PCR data analysis software. Interpret data and generate reports summarizing experimental findings.
5. Quality Control: Participate in quality control procedures to ensure the accuracy and reliability of laboratory results. Monitor and maintain the integrity of reagents equipment and laboratory environment.
6. Collaboration: Collaborate with other laboratory members researchers and healthcare professionals to coordinate sample collection analysis and interpretation. Contribute to multidisciplinary research projects and participate in discussions about experimental design and data interpretation.
7. Continuous Learning: Stay updated with the latest developments in molecular biology techniques and technologies. Attend workshops seminars and training sessions to enhance technical skills and knowledge
Qualifications: Bachelors or Masters degree in Molecular Biology Biotechnology Biochemistry or related field.
Strong theoretical and practical understanding of PCR and molecular biology techniques. Proficiency in laboratory techniques such as DNA/RNA extraction gel electrophoresis and realtime PCR.
Familiarity with laboratory safety protocols and guidelines. Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
Strong analytical and problemsolving abilities.
Effective communication skills for collaborating with team members and presenting findings.
