In this position you will ensure the efficient operation of the water treatment plant under normal and emergency conditions utilizing manual and automated control systems. Your duties include conducting routine and nonroutine maintenance cleaning equipment and making minor repairs. You will operate and maintain pumps valves chlorinators chemical feeders compressors and laboratory equipment to support a 1.2 milliongallon facility. Daily laboratory testing and equipment calibration will ensure compliance with the Department of Environmental Protection regulations including proper chemical dosing. Additionally you will supervise inmate workers manage tools maintain a safe work environment and keep inventory records of caustic and toxic supplies in line with regulations.
