Job Description

As a Senior Principal of Software Asset Management in the Information Technology Asset Management Group you are an enthusiastic outcomes driven senior leader enabling cross functional teams to deliver strategic outcomes related to software inventory management life cycle planning management of application portfolio management (APM) and software portal management to sustain a strong effective control environment. You will help work with your team to define policies process and procedures for a robust software asset management program.

Specifically you will:

  • Lead the optimization of analysis design or redesign of SAM APM to support the effective operation of controls supporting the Software Asset Management function.
  • Collaborate with team members to optimize key data reports to inform insights that contribute to improvement in processes that deliver efficiencies.
  • Lead roadmapping activities to deliver bestinclass capabilities to support ITAM with focus on Software Asset Management and Application Portfolio Management.
  • Develop and maintain working relationships across multiple functions to support software asset management throughout its lifecycle
  • Measure improvements to SAM through meaningful metrics KPIs KRIs and KCIs.
  • Work with stakeholders to continuously improve and innovate software asset management processes and best practices
  • Build a collaborative and product relationship with team members managing the enterprise license position for software publishers across all divisions

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Systems Engineering Business Management or a related field and 10 years of related work experience (of which 5 years must be postbaccalaureate progressive related work experience).
  • Must have 5 years of consulting experience or internal consulting experience.
  • Experience leading a Software Asset Management program
  • Experience presenting to Executive management
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Complete understanding of software lifecycle management
  • Excellent problemsolving skills
  • Ability to respectfully deal with colleagues at all levels within the company and represent the company externally
  • Excellent ability to schedule meetings in a global environment being respectful of time zones

Preferred

  • Software Asset Management and discovery tools experience (FlexeraOne ServiceNow Discovery SCCM ServiceNow APM and SAM products and data architecture)
  • Experience interpreting licensing terms and conditions
  • IAITAM CSAM certification or similar certification
  • Intermediate/Advanced Excel skills
  • Good working knowledge of all major operating systems and hardware platforms
  • Excellent understanding of ISO 19770 framework to capitalize on building a strong SAM program
  • Strong understanding of ITIL

Salary Range:

$USD

Salary range is a good faith estimate of base pay.
