Job Description:
L3Harris is seeking an experienced Finance Specialist in the Integrated Mission Systems Segment. IMS is a growing and highly dynamic business consisting of diverse business models robust pipelines U.S. government and international offerings and complex entity structure across both domestic and international operations. The role will be responsible to manage segment financials achieve annual plans and provide financial leadership analysis and management reporting. The Specialist may also assist with the forecasting database infrastructure to ensure accurate discretionary expenses are reflected for the segment. Additionally this role will be expected to partner with segment FP&A sector and division teams and corporate; as well as implement various business initiatives and analyses.
Essential Functions:
- The position interfaces regularly with key program stakeholders in addition to individuals at all levels of the organization. You will have the opportunity to support program needs while understanding the portfolio and ensuring compliance to processes.
- Partner with segment leadership on financial matters as required support executive level presentations and communications.
- Assist with the IMS discretionary expense forecasting tool.
- Problem solve develop and implement innovative and creative solutions to issues and situations that exist in a complex and changing environment with minimal supervision.
- Support the segment estimating system lead in tracking and maintaining estimating system audits with the segment.
- Support the development of training tools and templates.
- Work with cross functional management in a fastpaced multiple project environment with evolving priorities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree and minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience or Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree minimum of 6 years of prior related experience. A combination of education and experience may also be considered.
- Demonstrated high level of competency with Microsoft Outlook Word PowerPoint and Excel.
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Selfstarter with a continuous improvement mentality.
- Technical knowledge of software & systems: Hyperion Excel and PowerPoint.
- Prior experience with financial statements budgeting and planning government rates & pools and financial systems .
- Must possess robust communication skills (oral written listening); should be capable of making presentations to internal customers and management.
- Ability to operate effectively in a dynamic environment and be flexible to meet the needs of the customer through detail analysis or summary reporting.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skill set capable of interfacing and forming strategic business partnerships with key stakeholders.
