Job Description
Oxford high School is seeking a highly motivated and skilled High School Dance Coach to lead our dance program. The ideal candidate will be responsible for training mentoring and developing students in various dance styles while promoting teamwork and discipline within the team.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and conduct dance practices focusing on technique choreography and performance readiness.
Teach various dance styles and routines adapting to the skill levels of the students.
Prepare students for performances and competitions including music selection and routine refinement.
Foster a positive and inclusive team environment that encourages personal and artistic growth.
Communicate effectively with students parents and school administration regarding schedules expectations and performance goals.
Organize and manage team events rehearsals and performances.
Oversee the maintenance and organization of dance equipment and costumes.
Ensure compliance with school policies and safety standards during practices and performances.
Qualifications:
Experience in dance instruction preferably at the high school level or comparable experience.
Strong knowledge of various dance styles and choreography.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to motivate and inspire students.
First Aid CPR and CT Coaching certification (or willingness to obtain).
Background check clearance.
Season goes from approximately 11/204/1.
Stipend: $4618
