TheAssured and Adequate Water Supply (AAWS) Intern will have a unique opportunity to be a key member of the AAWS Team and contribute to addressing the problem of limited groundwater supplies in Arizona. The AAWS programs evaluate the availability of a 100year water supply considering current and committed demand as well as growth projections. The program helps sustain the states economic health by preserving groundwater resources and promoting longterm water supply planning.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team and make a tangible impact on water sustainability efforts.
This position may offer the ability to work remotely within Arizona based upon the departments business needs and continual meeting of expected performance measures.
The State of Arizona strives for a work culture that affords employees flexibility autonomy and trust. Across our many agencies boards and commissions many State employees participate in the States Remote Work Program and are able to work remotely in their homes in offices and in hoteling spaces. All work including remote work should be performed within Arizona unless an exception is properly authorized in advance.
This position has the flexibility to telework all but two days a week and allows a healthy worklife balance
Schedule: Hours will vary from 20 hours per week up to 40 hours per week. A hybrid work schedule (some work in the office and some work from home) is available for this position.

Desired Qualifications:
PowerPoint presentation experience.
Candidates must be enrolled in school and pursing a degree in Hydrology Geology or related field.
