The Director will work as part of the Principals Leadership Team to develop implement and support a studentcentered counseling program that fosters academic achievement college and career readiness and personal/social development. This position provides leadership to the counseling staff and serves as a key liaison among students families staff community partners and postsecondary Summary to develop implement and support a studentcentered counseling program that fosters academic achievement college and career readiness and personal/social development. This position provides leadership to the counseling staff and serves as a key liaison among students families staff community partners and postsecondary Degree in School Counseling or related Hampshire License as a School CounselorNew Hampshire License as an administrator preferredMust pass a background 612 School CounselorsPerformance ResponsibilitiesLeadership and Program CoordinationOversee the implementation of a comprehensive developmental school counseling program aligned with national and state the districtwide Counseling Professional Learning Community (PLC) to ensure alignment of best practices ongoing professional development and program the K5 counseling teams ensuring coordination of services across grades with administrators teachers and staff to support MultiTiered System of Supports for Behavior (MTSSB) and socialemotional learning and Career ReadinessOrganize and manage all college and career planning activities including college fairs financial aid nights career panels and NCAA eligibility certification and assist studentathletes with guidance on dual enrollment and Early College programs managing partnerships with Northern Essex Community College Southern New Hampshire University and the Community College System of New credit recovery and alternative learning programs such as and AssessmentsCoordinate all district and state assessments at the middle and high school levels including PSAT SAT NHSAS and accurate and timely reporting of testing data to state and district Services and SupportProvide direct support and guidance to students on academic planning career exploration and personal and manage systems for identifying and supporting atrisk students including those in need of credit referrals and collaboration with outside mental health and social service agencies to ensure wraparound support for students and the district Section 504 program and implementation of student Partnerships and Extended Learning Opportunities (ELOs)Support students in accessing Extended Learning Opportunities (ELOs) through community with local businesses and organizations to develop internships and other experiential learning Activities and GraduationOversee and coordinate seniorrelated events including senior week activities awards ceremonies and seniors with postsecondary planning and transition ResponsibilitiesServe as a key member of the Principals Leadership Team to support school improvement planning and student monitor and manage the school counseling department budget in collaboration with the building and analyze program data to evaluate the effectiveness of counseling services and inform compliance with district state and federal guidelines related to school counseling ResponsibilitiesEngage in reflective records and submitting them in a timely to maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards in counseling to school community and culture by leading events programs or activities that further the culture of wellbeing in the school and bring the values of the school to life through modeling and positive seek out and identify highquality opportunities to grow and learn identifying problems of practice or areas of inquiry that inform individual and collaborative learning high standards of ethical practice and wise decision making on behalf of students families and other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the to:Ed. 510: Code of Conduct for New Hampshire EducatorsGuiding Principles: The Code of Ethics for New Hampshire EducatorsAll district school board policies and proceduresAll district handbooksSkills and AbilitiesThis position requires:Ability to accept learnerDependabilityConcern for othersSelfcontrolAdaptability/flexibilityIntegrityInitiativeCooperationPersistenceInnovationAnalytical thinkingEstablishing and maintaining interpersonal relationshipsUpdating and using relevant knowledgeMaking decisions and solving problemsThinking creativelyCommunicating with supervisors colleagues families community and studentsDeveloping and building teamsResolving conflicts and negotiating with othersAnalyzing data or informationPerforming administrative activities such as paperworkTechnology SkillsElectronic mail software Multimedia educational softwareGoogle applicationsPhysical DemandsReach with hands and arms and use hands and fingers to handle objects and operate computers handheld learning devices and other office required to sit stand walk talk and lift and/or move up to 15 to a variety of childhood and adult diseases and exposure to various weather to a range of heating air conditioning and ventilation in a workplace that is usually moderately quiet but can be noisy at of EmploymentBenefits and Wages as outlined in the Teamsters 603 Collective Bargaining AgreementExempt from overtime payOnsiteFulltime
