Would you enjoy spending your workday outdoors The Pennsylvania Game Commission is seeking an experienced and dependable Game Lands Maintenance Worker 1 to work in our State Game Lands. DESCRIPTION OF WORK
A Game Lands Maintenance Worker 1 performs semiskilled work and assists with other duties. For example in this position you will assist with maintenance repair and construction of bridges roads parking areas gates posting signs ranges and more. This position will also require you to assist with mowing habitat management and equipment maintenance. Additional duties may include pruning trees shrubs and vines for wildlife food enhancement. Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Fulltime employment
- Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM Monday Friday with 30minute lunch.
- Telework:You will not have the option to telework in this position.
- Salary:In some cases the starting salary may be nonnegotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- One year of laboring experience using construction tools and equipment; or
- One year of farming experience using agricultural tools and equipment; or
- One year of construction equipment operation experience; or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training.
Special Requirements:
- This position requires possession of an active Pennsylvania noncommercial Class C drivers license or equivalent.
- This position requires the selected candidate to obtain an active Class A Commercial Drivers License within one year of employment in this job.
Additional Requirement:- This position is in Somerset PA Somerset County. You must be willing to commute to work at this location.
- You must be able to traverse all types of terrains and work in all types of weather conditions.
- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
Preferred Qualifications (not required):
- Professional or personal experience in wildlife habitat management including producing food plots improving or maintaining existing habitat to benefit wildlife by using tools and/or equipment
- Experience in the labor and construction industry using tools and equipment
- Experience maintaining labor and construction industry tools and equipment
- Experience in agricultural practices using tools and equipment
- Experience maintaining agricultural practices tools and equipment
- A valid Commercial Drivers License (CDL)
- Any other credentials certifications or licenses that may assist you in this position
