The PreK Teaching Assistant supports the PreK Lead Teacher in creating a safe nurturing and developmentally appropriate environment for children ages 35. The assistant will help implement daily routines support childrens learning and behavior and foster family partnerships in alignment with Vermonts Early Learning Standards and program expectations. Key Responsibilities Key Responsibilities: Support classroom instruction and playbased learning under the direction of the Lead Teacher Help implement and reinforce daily routines transitions and classroom procedures Engage in active supervision during indoor and outdoor activities Promote socialemotional development and support individual behavioral needs Assist in preparing learning materials and maintaining a clean organized classroom Help with toileting hygiene and other care routines as needed Communicate professionally with families and staff Participate in team planning meetings training and professional development Uphold all district and licensing regulations for early childhood education
