    About the Position
    This is a 1.0 FTE noncontinuing contract (leave replacement) position for a Secondary Digital Learning Coach TOSA (Teacher On Special Assignment). This position is for the 202526 school year ONLY and includes some team learning and teacher preparation in August.

    Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
    • Consult with administrators departments teacher leaders and digital learning colleagues on the design and implementation of schoolbased departmental or districtwide professional learning that will support staff in using techlevy funded resources to promote student engagement and to enhance and extend student learning opportunities.
    • Assist principals leadership teams and departments (or grade level teams) in developing and implementing School Improvement Plans that ensure techlevy funded resources are being utilized to improve student learning outcomes.
    • Provide oneonone and smallgroup coaching to classroom teachers teams and departments focused on integrating techlevy funded resources (both hardware and digital applications) into effective instructional practices including unit/lesson and assessment design analyzing student work and supporting diverse learners.
    • Model and coach teachers in effective strategies for traditional/blended learning/flipped classroom planning and instruction assessment and feedback and interpretation of assessment results using techlevy funded resources.
    • In collaboration with other Digital Learning staff prepare and organize reference and training materials in various formats (e.g. written video) for staff students or families in order to convey information or guidance related to techlevy funded resources. Train other staff to access and utilize these resources.
    • Support schools in helping students and families to effectively use and troubleshoot techlevy funded resources.
    • Collaborate with district leaders departments and teachers to integrate state technology and digital citizenship standards into curriculum and professional development opportunities.
    • Provide support in researching piloting selecting implementing troubleshooting and evaluating the implementation of techlevy funded equipment and instructional resources.
    • Engage in personal and team professional learning and be coached by peers and supervisor.
    • Summer work outside of the contract days is required. (Staff are paid an hourly rate for their time.)
    • Travel to various district sites using personal vehicle. (Mileage will be reimbursed.)

    Preferred knowledge experience or skills
    Active thoughtful and reflective collaboration within team
    Excellent verbal and written communication skills; organization skills in managing messaging calendar and tasks
    Experience coaching other teachers to use technology (whether informally or formally)
    Ability to build trust and credibility with adults and students
    Capacity to handle difficult interpersonal situations in a professional manner
    Capacity to quickly develop fluency in using new technology tools
    Significant knowledge of and competency with using and teaching others to use a variety of hardware software and services including but not limited to:
    Canvas and Seesaw as Learning Management Systems
    Google Apps for Education (Chrome Drive Docs Slides Sheets etc.)
    Webbased applications (Peardeck Book Creator EdPuzzle etc.)
    SMART Interactive Whiteboards
    Ability to apply Digital Learning across all levels/content areas
    Knowledge of ISTE Ed Tech Standards and Common Core State Standards
    Experience with teaching in a 1:1 classroom
    Experience with the Triple E Framework (or similar) of technology integration
    Experience with project management
    Ability to manage time and organize and carry out detailed complex projects over a period of months or longer and/or lead others in doing so
    Ability to work flexible hours to meet the learning needs of staff. This will include varying start/end times for work days availability in summer for planning and training etc.

    Required Qualifications:
    Washington State Teaching Certificate and a minimum of three years successful teaching and/or coaching experience.

    Salary:
    202425 Salary Schedule Range: $80136 through $143159(202526 Salary Schedule not yet finalized).Placement on this salary schedule is determined by FTE and official documentation verifying Educational Level and Certificated Work Experience and will be prorated for less than a full year and/or FTE.

    Benefits:
    Our benefits package includes Washington state health insurance coverage (SEBB) and a Washington state retirement package for eligible positions.
    • Eligibility for health insurance is based on whether the employee is anticipated to be compensated at least 630 hours per school year (September 1 through August 31). For the 202425school year a .5 FTE continuing contract position will meet that eligibility threshold. Eligibility for a noncontinuing contract position will be determined at the time of hire by counting the total anticipated compensated hours from the date of hire through the end of the noncontinuing contract. Benefitsinclude Medical Dental Vision Longterm Disability Life and ADD Insurance and options for HSA FSA and DCAP.
    • Eligibility for retirement is based on whether the employee is anticipated to work at least 70 hours per month for 5 months during the school year. For the 202425school year a .6 FTE (either continuing or noncontinuing) meets that eligibility threshold.

    While fulfilling the responsibilities of this job the employee is expected to navigate various school and classroom environments. The role may involve assisting students who need physical support or exhibit challenging behaviors. The role requires communicating with others regularly. The position may require moving objects regularly weighing up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 25 pounds. Visual requirements include performing closerange tasks and adjusting focus as necessary.
