JOB SUMMARY:
The Finance Administrative Assistant position blends standard administrative duties with key financerelated responsibilities. This role provides essential support to the grant/project team ensuring seamless administrative operations while assisting the Finance Director with tracking and ensuring compliance of grant funds. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills a keen eye for detail and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Administrative Support:
Manage the general operations of the NC office located at 120 Union Street.
Manage calendars and schedule meetings for grant/project team members.
Respond to emails and handle general inquiries.
Maintain filing systems for grant documents including electronic and paper records.
Prepare and distribute grantrelated correspondence.
Coordinate travel arrangements for grantrelated activities (if requested)
Assist with the preparation of presentations and reports (if requested).
Grant Management Accounting:
Assist in monitoring grant budgets and tracking expenditures against allocated funds.
Support the input of grant financial data into designated databases ensuringaccuracy.
Help review invoices and expense reports for compliance with grant guidelines.
Contribute to preparing financial reports for grantors including budget statusupdates.
Assist in reconciling grant accounts and identifying any discrepancies.
Provide support with grant closeout procedures including final reporting anddocumentation.
Coordinate with program staff to ensure proper allocation of grant funds. Compliance and Reporting:
Stay updated on grant compliance regulations and reporting requirements.
Ensure all grant activities adhere to funding agency guidelines.
Assist in preparing and submitting required grant reports on a timely basis.
Help maintain a system for tracking grant deadlines and deliverables.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word Excel PowerPoint)
Experience with grant management software or databases (Sage Intacct preferred)
Basic accounting knowledge and understanding of financial reporting
Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with internal and externalstakeholders
Ability to work independently and as part of a team

COMPENSATION
American Rivers offers marketable compensation that reflects the qualifications and experienceof the selected candidate. The salary range for this position is $2528/hour annually depending on experience and qualifications. We provide a comprehensive Total Rewards package to our fulltime regular employees including:

Financial Security: After one year of service American Rivers begins contributing a 3% employer contribution. There is no vesting schedule for employer contributions as employees are 100% vested upon participation.
