We strive to provide a safe and supportive environment where all children can Overview:Saint Joseph Elementary School is seeking a compassionate and organized PartTime School Health Coordinator to oversee the daily health and wellness needs of students and staff. This role is ideal for a licensed nurse or a health professional with pediatric or schoolbased experience who is passionate about student wellness and community individual will provide direct care for minor injuries and illnesses manage health records coordinate care with parents and local health professionals and support wellness initiatives throughout the Responsibilities:* Provide first aid and routine health care for students and staff during school hours* Administer medications and maintain accurate medication logs in compliance with school policy and state regulations* Monitor students with chronic health conditions (e.g. asthma diabetes allergies) and coordinate care plans* Maintain student health records immunization documentation and communicate with families regarding medical requirements* Implement basic communicable disease prevention protocols; serve as liaison to local health authorities when needed* Assist with the development of wellness initiatives (e.g. hygiene education healthy eating mindfulness breaks)* Communicate with parents regarding student health concerns and support referrals to healthcare providers as appropriate* Collaborate with school counselors teachers and administrators to support the overall wellbeing of students* Support healthrelated accommodations in 504 or IEP plans* Promote a nurturing calm and respectful health office environmentQualifications:Required: * Licensed Registered Nurse (RN) Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or other appropriate licensed/credentialed public health professional * CPR and First Aid certification * Excellent organizational and communication skills * Ability to work independently and respond calmly in emergency situationsPreferred: * Experience working in a school or pediatric setting * Familiarity with state school health regulations and FERPA/HIPAA compliance * Bilingual (especially Spanish) is a plus but not requiredCompensation* Competitive hourly wage based on experience and qualifications* Paid time off aligned with school calendar (holidays breaks)* Collaborative and supportive school community
