Summary
Lead the daytoday operations of our Database Environments. Responsibilities include backup/recovery performance monitoring and tuning planning analysis troubleshooting access control integration installation upgrades patching configuration operations and maintenance of the database systems.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Serves as a team lead in providing technical and theoretical database support for COTS (Commercial off the shelf) and custom applications: Oracle MS SQL PostgreSQL NoSQL.
- Work with business partners developers data analysts & security analysts.
- Creating and maintaining database standards and policies in accordance with technology and security standards.
- Supporting database design creation and testing backup archiving and storage activities.
- Managing the database availability and performanceincluding incident and problemmanagement.
- Define and implementing event triggers that will alert on potential database performance or integrity issues.
- Monitoring usage transactions response times concurrency levels and Performing database housekeeping such as tuning indexing etc.
- Evaluates new and future data technologies and releases and analyzes and tests new releases/versions of software in order to determine a rollout schedule technical compatibility and integration issues.
You Must Have
- Ability to travel up to 5% of the time.
- Ability to work remote hybrid or onsite as directed by management and is determined by the needs of the business.
- Regular and reliable attendance is an essential function of this job.
- United States Citizenship.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) security clearance (some positions require additional DOE designations).
- Bachelors degree in the field of Information Systems Computer Science Computer Engineering Engineering or Physical Science with a minimum of 24 semester hours of computerrelated courses or two additional years of direct work experience in lieu of a Bachelors degree.
- Experienced professional with preferably more than 7 years of experience working with various database management systems in database design testing implementation maintenance and administration.

- Demonstrated experience managing multiple Oracle and SQL Server databases.
- Demonstrated experience in serving as a Technical Lead in support of projects.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server and Red Hat Linux operating systems
- General knowledge of Cyber Security design requirements.
